Just Mustard Return With New Single “POLLYANNA”

ree

Irish five-piece Just Mustard erupt back onto the scene today with “POLLYANNA”, their first new music in three years—and it hits like a jolt to the system. Pushing their already-genre-defying sound into bolder territory, the track blends warped guitars, submerged rhythms, and Katie Ball’s dreamlike vocals—now higher and more direct than ever before.

A maximalist fever dream laced with unease, “POLLYANNA” explores the unsettling side of relentless optimism. As Ball puts it, the song is inspired by “the kind of fun that makes you feel sick almost instantly,” reflected in its disorienting CCTV-style video shot around their hometown of Dundalk.

This release marks the band’s first material since 2022’s critically acclaimed Heart Under, which saw them praised by NME, The Telegraph, Pitchfork, and more. Since then, they’ve toured globally and shared stages with The Cure, Depeche Mode, and Fontaines D.C.—but “POLLYANNA” signals a new era of evolution and intensity.

Alongside the single, Just Mustard have announced a string of intimate underplay shows in the US and Europe this September, offering fans a rare chance to experience their immersive sound up close. They’ll also hit major festivals this summer including Green Man, Electric Picnic, and Seisiún Festival in Boston.

Listen/watch “POLLYANNA” now. Tour dates below. More to come.
