Taiwanese American pop artist Fedge has arrived with Through It All, a deeply personal debut EP that turns pain, healing and self-discovery into five tracks of polished, emotionally resonant pop.
Out now via APOLLO Distribution, the San Francisco-based artist’s first full project introduces a songwriter unafraid to lead with vulnerability. Across the EP, Fedge explores loneliness, fractured relationships, self-worth and eventual acceptance, pairing intimate lyricism with bright, melodic production that gives even its heaviest moments a sense of warmth and hope.
At the heart of the release is its title track, Through It All, a song Fedge describes as the one he needed growing up. Written as a message to his younger self, the track reflects on the isolation of feeling misunderstood at home and offers reassurance to anyone navigating similar experiences. It’s a powerful centrepiece for a project rooted in emotional honesty and the belief that music can make people feel less alone.
That emotional transparency runs throughout the EP, which includes the previously released singles Can’t You See, Invisible to You, Wish You Well and Wish I Saw the Signs. Together, the five-track collection paints a vivid portrait of an artist using pop not just as escapism, but as a way of processing identity, queerness and the complicated path towards self-acceptance.
Behind the scenes, Through It All also boasts an impressive creative team. The title track was co-written with Kevin Burke, produced by Griffin Emerson and vocal produced by Nathan Fertig, bringing together collaborators whose credits span Tate McRae, Jin of BTS, Alec Benjamin and Ben Barnes.
The release arrives at a key moment in Fedge’s growing rise. Following a sold-out San Francisco release show for previous single Wish You Well and a performance at an AAPI artist showcase in Seattle, he is continuing to build momentum with an intimate release show at Telegraph Hill Books and a New York date at Berlin later this summer.
While Through It All serves as an introduction, it also feels like the start of something much bigger. With a second EP already in the works and early support from TIDAL’s Pop Art playlist as well as radio play from Joy 94.9 and Localized FM, Fedge is quickly carving out a space for himself as a compelling new voice in confessional pop.
Inspired by the likes of Chappell Roan and Troye Sivan, Fedge blends sleek pop instincts with raw storytelling, creating songs that feel both immediate and deeply lived-in. On Through It All, he doesn’t just share his story — he opens the door for listeners to find pieces of their own within it.
