Fresh from the release of their acclaimed debut album Ö, New York duo Fcukers have continued their rapid ascent with a standout performance of fan-favourite single “L.U.C.K.Y” on Later… with Jools Holland.
Sharing the stage with the likes of Jessie Ware, Holly Humberstone and Jack Antonoff, the duo delivered an explosive rendition of the track, further cementing their reputation as one of the most exciting new acts in dance-pop. The appearance follows a whirlwind few weeks for Shanny Wise and Jackson Walker Lewis, including a sold-out headline show at London’s O2 Forum Kentish Town and their recent remix of Angèle and Justice’s “What You Want”.
The momentum shows no sign of slowing. This week alone sees Fcukers head to Paris for a Bataclan headline date and an afterparty B2B set with legendary French duo Cassius, before appearances at Primavera Sound Barcelona and New York’s Governors Ball. The duo will then join major tours supporting RÜFÜS DU SOL and Harry Styles throughout the summer.
Released in March, Ö has been met with widespread critical acclaim. The Guardian praised its “pointed modern pop”, while Rolling Stone UK called it “a record that demands you dance”. Across 11 tightly crafted tracks, Fcukers blend house, drum & bass and pop into a high-energy collection that captures the duo’s distinctive club-fuelled sound.
Produced by Kenneth Blume (Kenny Beats), with additional production from Dylan Brady and mixing from multi-Grammy winner Tom Norris, Ö marks a defining moment for the band. Tracks including “Bon Bon”, “Homie Don’t Shake”, “if you wanna party, come over to my house” and “L.U.C.K.Y” showcase the euphoric, BPM-driven aesthetic that has propelled them from New York underground favourites to international breakthrough stars.
The album arrived shortly after the band's US television debut on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, adding to a growing list of career milestones. Already named Artists to Watch by Spotify, Amazon Music and BBC Radio 1, Fcukers have also earned support from tastemakers including Zane Lowe, Rolling Stone, Billboard, Pitchfork and The New York Times.
With major festival appearances and arena dates ahead, Fcukers’ Jools Holland debut feels less like an introduction and more like another milestone in a year that continues to propel the duo onto ever bigger stages.
