DJ Seinfeld returns with new single “Of Joy (feat. ARY)” — out now on Ninja Tune

Swedish producer DJ Seinfeld continues his evolution from lo-fi house hero to fully fledged dance auteur with the release of “Of Joy (feat. ARY)”, a soaring new single that leans into early-2000s trance nostalgia while keeping his signature, heavyweight drums front and centre.

Featuring Norwegian singer-songwriter ARY, Of Joy is an emotional slow-burn that’s been more than two years in the making — and it shows. Lush melodies meet pulse-raising percussion as ARY’s delicate vocal performance cuts straight through the haze.

Speaking on the track, DJ Seinfeld shared:

“This was the first song I wrote for an upcoming new project. I had the chorus and ARY’s vocals early on, but I struggled with the drums and ended up shelving it for a year or two. Coming back to it, it became one of my favourite tracks I’ve ever made. ARY has the most incredible voice — and we barely needed more than a single Dropbox exchange.”

ARY adds:

“‘Of Joy’ is about daring to ask yourself if it’s okay to be happy again — and letting go of grief. I’m deeply grateful that Armand challenged me to express hope through his sonic landscape.”

The single arrives hot on the heels of club weapon Plush and follows DJ Seinfeld’s recent collaborations with BRIT-nominated electronic-pop group Confidence Man, including The Right and viral anthem Now U Do — a track that racked up over 50 million streams and landed on BBC Radio 1’s A-List.

Out now via Ninja Tune, Of Joy also comes with a striking new video directed by Moncef Henaien, with more music from DJ Seinfeld promised soon.

Critics have already praised his recent work, with Pitchfork calling his production “crisp, smooth, and polished,” while The Guardian highlighted his ability to balance warmth with club-ready intensity.

DJ Seinfeld is set to take the new material on the road this month with North American dates in Chicago, New York and Los Angeles, before heading back to Europe for shows in Copenhagen, Brighton, London and Edinburgh.
