Current Swell Release New EP 10 Feet Tall Following Sold-Out London Show

Beloved Victoria indie rockers Current Swell are back with 10 Feet Tall—a vibrant five-track EP out today (June 11), and the second half of a dynamic companion release recorded in Toronto with producer Gus van Go. Arriving hot on the heels of a sold-out show at The Grace in London, the new EP finds the band at their most freewheeling, grateful, and creatively inspired to date.

A celebration of presence and playfulness, 10 Feet Tall sees Current Swell leaning into the joy of making music on their own terms. Title track “10 Feet Tall” bursts with buoyant energy and unapologetic fun, while “I Got Mine” slips into familiar folk-rock comfort, evoking fan favourites like “I Want a Bird.” Tracks like “High As a Kite” and “10 Feet Tall” are already destined for future crowd singalongs, fuelled by the band’s knack for heartfelt songwriting and anthemic melodies.

“We stepped a bit out of our comfort zone for this one,” the band shares. “There’s a freedom and fun to these songs that reflects where we’re at in life.”

After winning the Peak Performance Project in 2011, Current Swell built a global following with their West Coast sound and uplifting songwriting. With 60M+ streams and sold-out tours across four continents, they’ve shared stages with The Beach Boys, Xavier Rudd, and The Beautiful Girls, earning a reputation for authentic, feel-good performances that connect across generations.

As several band members balance life with young families, the new material reflects a more relaxed and collaborative creative process: “We get together for a week at a time, let ideas flow, and just have fun,” says frontman Scott Stanton. “It’s casual but inspired, and you can hear that joy in the music.”

With 10 Feet Tall, Current Swell offer a soundtrack for living in the moment—and a reminder that growth can be grounded in gratitude.
