BODY MOVEMENTS WINTER EDITION ANNOUNCES OVER 100 ARTISTS INCLUDING 7 TOP SECRET HEADLINERS

BabyStep Magazine

With less than a month to go, the anticipation is reaching fever pitch for the return of Body Movements, the UK's original queer festival, set to take over Hackney Wick on 3rd February 2024. This winter edition promises a sonic extravaganza featuring over 100 artists, including some of the hottest names in the electronic music scene.

Hackney Wick's Queens Yard will transform into a pulsating playground, hosting an eclectic mix of talents, including Bethan, Bottom Heavy (Dan Beaumont and Wes Baggaley), Carlos Valdes, Faff, Hannah Holland, Gideön, Joshua James, Michelle Manetti, Reece Spooner, and seven top-secret special guests.

Body Movements has long been a trailblazer, uniting and celebrating the LGBTQIA+ community through its unique blend of homegrown and international talent. This year is no exception, with the festival showcasing a diverse range of artists, from emerging talents in the 'Emerging Artists' program to established icons.

The festival's reputation for anti-establishment chaos and splendid diversity continues with a lineup that includes High Hoops, Bitch Please!, Adonis, Mums Against Donk, Gidëon, Josh Caffé, Riposte, Reece Spooner's 'Fiasco!,' Jungle Kitty, Queer House Party, T-Boys Club, and many more. Body Movements has also expanded its family, welcoming seven new crews, each bringing their unique flair to the festival. From the Latinx queer party 2CPERREA to the bone-rattling drum and bass of Unorthodox and the hard techno fantasies of TEDESCO, the additions promise to elevate the festival to new heights.

And, of course, it wouldn't be a Body Movements event without a touch of mystery. The festival teases a handful of top-secret unannounced artists and allies, ready to up the ante for an already stacked bill. Founded by Clayton Wright, Saoirse Ryan, and Simon Denby, Body Movements is on a clear mission to unify and amplify identities in the club world. This winter edition marks one of the last chances to experience the festival in its multi-venue form before it transitions to a new outdoor site on Bank Holiday Sunday, 25th August 2024.

So, mark your calendars, save the date, and get ready to dance, connect, and celebrate at Body Movements Winter Edition 2024—a moment that should be on every queer's calendar. This is more than a festival; it's a journey of beats, belonging, and unapologetic identity. Don't miss out!
