BODEGA RETURN WITH ANTHEMIC NEW SINGLE 'WEATHER ME', ANNOUNCE NEW FILM AND UK TOUR

NYC art-rockers preview ambitious fourth album All Inside Aquarium as Ben Hozie unveils new feature film project.

New York's ever-evolving conceptual rock outfit BODEGA have shared soaring new single 'Weather Me', the latest taste of their forthcoming fourth album All Inside Aquarium, due 9th October via Chrysalis Records.

Released today alongside news of a brand-new feature film from guitarist and vocalist Ben Hozie, plus an expanded UK headline tour, it's another bold statement from a band determined to keep pushing beyond the post-punk tag that's followed them since day one.

Driven by infectious hooks, shimmering guitars and Nikki Belfiglio's urgent vocal, 'Weather Me' sees BODEGA embracing a warmer, more melodic direction without sacrificing the sharp-eyed observations that have become their trademark.

Speaking about the track, Belfiglio says:

"This is a track about living in an information kaleidoscope full of everyday grievances alongside very real problems. If you don't know who or what to prioritize, this kaleidoscope can fracture your everyday existence. You must stand strong and weather the current."

The single continues to build anticipation for All Inside Aquarium, an album that finds BODEGA deliberately breaking away from their post-punk reputation in favour of something bigger, brighter and more expansive. "I never thought of us as a post-punk band," explains Hozie. "I just thought of us as a conceptual rock band."

Recorded live over six weeks in Leeds with Matt Peel (Yard Act, Eagulls) before being mixed by Theo Verney (English Teacher, Lime Garden), the record captures the energy of BODEGA's celebrated live performances while drawing inspiration from the widescreen alternative rock of the late '80s and early '90s.

Alongside the new music, Hozie has also announced his fourth feature film, Jack London Calling. The Brooklyn-set punk rock romantic comedy begins production later this month and stars Katie Alice Greer (Priests), Peter Vack, Vram Kherlopian (Gustaf), Tarra Thiessen (Gustaf/Tea Eater) and BODEGA's own Nikki Belfiglio. The project follows Hozie's acclaimed 2020 film PVT Chat, starring Julia Fox.

The announcements cap a busy period for the band, who recently shared the stage with Spoon and Ratboys at New York's Central Park SummerStage before embarking on a run of headline shows across Spain, Europe and the UK. Following sold-out dates in London and Paris this September, BODEGA have now confirmed an additional run of UK headline dates this November, including stops in Glasgow, Manchester, Bristol, Leeds and London.

With All Inside Aquarium, BODEGA appear less interested in dissecting the world than understanding it. Replacing overt political commentary with empathy, literary perspective and adventurous songwriting, the album promises to be the band's most ambitious and emotionally resonant release to date.

If 'Weather Me' is anything to go by, BODEGA's next chapter could be their most compelling yet.
