ARLO PARKS RECRUITS JOHN GLACIER FOR HYPNOTIC NEW VERSION OF "FLOETTE"

The Mercury Prize winner revisits one of Ambiguous Desire's standout tracks with London's most singular voices.

Arlo Parks has unveiled a captivating new version of "Floette," enlisting London rapper, poet and producer John Glacier to reimagine one of the standout moments from her critically acclaimed latest album, Ambiguous Desire.

Rather than simply adding a guest verse, Glacier reshapes the track entirely. Her signature deadpan delivery and razor-sharp lyricism intertwine with Parks' featherlight vocals, giving "Floette" a fresh emotional depth while preserving the euphoric spirit that made the original one of the album's defining moments. The result is a beautifully understated celebration of queer joy, accompanied by a striking new official video.

Released earlier this year via Transgressive, Ambiguous Desire marked a bold creative shift for Parks. Swapping the indie-folk textures of her previous work for a nocturnal blend of house, UK garage, techno and electronic soul, the album found inspiration on dancefloors from London to New York, capturing the freedom, connection and self-discovery that emerge after dark.

Created alongside producer Baird, with additional production from Paul Epworth, Buddy Ross and Andrew Sarlo, the record has become one of 2026's most acclaimed releases. The Guardian hailed it as "a paean to the night-time," while Billboard and Rough Trade both named it among their Albums of the Year So Far. Elsewhere, Pitchfork, DIY, Rolling Stone UK and Uncut all praised the album as a defining new chapter in Parks' evolution. Reflecting on the project, Parks described desire as the album's driving force.
