SPOTLIGHT

30.09 | TRUE LOVE: OPTIMO [ESPACIO] ALL NIGHT LONG

The legendary Glasgow clubbing institution Optimo (espacio) bring 5 hours of genre blending electronica to the Sheaf St. event space for a special ‘all night long set’. Their combination of uncompromising taste, outstanding technical skills and commitment to the underground makes them a legendary musical force.

06.11 | HOMEBASS: DR BANANA B2B LUKA WIGFLEX

What began with a van pulling up to forest raves during Covid - with all the legal and ethical quandaries that entailed - is now a UK dance music phenomenon. Artists of the calibre of Fatboy Slim, The Ragga Twins and Eats Everything have played out of the vans soundsystem. They open Sheaf St. Autumn season with Bristol based UKG enthusiast, DJ and label owner, Dr Banana, playing a 2 hour back to back with the maestro Lukas Wiglex.

07.11 | CLUB GLOW SHOWCASE

What is ‘club glow’? Is it the pearlescent euphoria of the breakdown or the sweat-slicked inner peace you feel after a cathartic dancefloor workout or the funk that clings to the venue walls long after the lights come up? Everyone has their own definition, but what’s certain is it’s rooted in the energy flash of the rave.

As a collective entity, the four-strong hit squad of Borai, Denham Audio, LMajor and Mani Festo are specifically equipped to deal with this feeling. Sheaf St. hosts Club Glow’s Leeds debut, alongside local legend Moova for a night of breakbeat, hardcore & jungle.

17.11 | 10 YEARS OF MEAT FREE

Established Manchester based brand Meat Free have gone from strength to strength over the past 10 years. With their ethos firmly rooted in underground Techno whilst creating safer spaces for the UK’s queer scene. Now hosting parties all over the UK and beyond, they make their Leeds debut at Sheaf St to celebrate a decade of parties, with a star studded line up including resident Blasha & Allatt and Aalice themselves.
