Out Today: Liv Bloore - 'Her Flowers'

Emerging singer-songwriter and producer Liv Bloore has released her new single “Her Flowers”, offering the latest preview of her upcoming debut EP In Heaven, After Hours, which is set to arrive on April 17.

The track marks Bloore’s third single and an important creative milestone, as it is her first fully self-produced release. Known for her atmospheric songwriting and emotive storytelling, the artist continues to build a distinctive sound that blends indie folk textures with expansive, cinematic production.

Intimate and reflective, “Her Flowers” explores themes of queer love, girlhood, grief, and the lingering impact of past relationships. The song begins as a gentle folk-leaning ballad before gradually unfolding into a dreamlike shoegaze-inspired outro, layered with echoing trumpet, drifting harmonies and piano flourishes.

Speaking about the inspiration behind the track, Bloore describes it as a deeply personal reflection on past relationships and personal loss. The song was written as a tribute to the women who shaped her life, while also grappling with feelings of nostalgia, regret and the emotional aftermath of both heartbreak and the death of a childhood friend. For Bloore, the song represents the end of a chapter of girlhood and the complicated emotions tied to growing up and moving on.

Producing the track herself was also a significant challenge. Bloore explains that learning to fully produce the song while navigating such personal subject matter made the process difficult at times, but ultimately rewarding. She describes “Her Flowers” as the most vulnerable and meaningful piece of music she has created so far.

The new single follows her earlier releases “Sing For Me” and “The Darling Song”, which introduced listeners to the ethereal sonic world she is developing. Together, the three tracks hint at the atmosphere of In Heaven, After Hours, a project expected to weave together alt-folk influences, theatrical shoegaze textures and emotionally expansive songwriting.

Bloore’s previous releases have already attracted support from platforms including BBC Introducing, as well as music publications such as Ones To Watch, Record of the Day and Loud Women.

Originally from rural Suffolk, Bloore studied classical music at the University of Cambridge, a background that continues to shape her layered compositions. Drawing inspiration from artists like Ethel Cain, Florence + The Machine, Wolf Alice and boygenius, she combines classical influences with indie rock sensibilities, blending choral harmonies, piano-led arrangements and distorted guitars with poetic lyricism.

With “Her Flowers” now available on streaming platforms, Bloore continues to establish herself as an emerging voice in the indie folk and alternative scene ahead of her debut EP release this spring.
