Krooked Tongue reveal debut studio album 'I Know A Place'

Bristol alt-rock trio Krooked Tongue have arrived with their long-awaited debut album I Know A Place, a 10-track statement packed with towering choruses, razor-sharp lyrics and the kind of emotional punch that lingers long after the final note.

Released on 24 April, the independently issued record sees the band delivering their most fully realised work to date, exploring everything from teenage love and grief to technology, fear and the search for human connection. Produced by longtime collaborator Josh Gallop at Stage 2 Studios in Bath, I Know A Place captures Krooked Tongue at their most ambitious and emotionally resonant.

The album’s title track has already earned support from BBC Radio 6 Music’s Craig Charles, while previous singles have landed on Apple Music’s Breaking Hard Rock and New In Rock playlists and featured on DAZN Sports and Progress Wrestling broadcasts.

What makes the album’s release even more impressive is the determination behind it. Facing the financial realities of pressing vinyl and self-funding a trip to New York’s New Colossus Festival, the band turned to GoFundMe and raised £1,000 from fans in under two weeks.

Since emerging with 2022’s No Vacancy Hotel EP, Krooked Tongue have built a reputation for blending sledgehammer riffs with biting wit and infectious melodies. I Know A Place feels like the culmination of that journey — a record rooted in escapism, connection and the enduring power of guitar music done right.
