Anna Anise Launches Crowdfunder for Groundbreaking Bilingual Album ‘Aneth’

Cornish folk musician Anna Anise has launched a crowdfunding campaign to bring her ambitious new album Aneth to life — a groundbreaking bilingual project that blends English and the Cornish language (Kernewek) in a vibrant, contemporary way.

A rising voice on the UK folk scene, Anna has spent the past few years touring the country and refining her craft, fusing lyrical storytelling with rich guitar work and unforgettable vocal hooks. Now, she’s channeling that passion into a project that celebrates Cornish identity and heritage while pushing her sound into bold new territory.

“Cornish is an essential part of my life,” Anna shares. “This album is a chance to reconnect people with our stories and culture — and to share Kernewek with music and language lovers everywhere.”

The Indiegogo campaign seeks to raise £12,000 to cover recording, production, promotion, touring, and fair pay for Cornish musicians and creatives. Perks for backers range from signed CDs and vinyl to a custom song commission, offering supporters a chance to be woven directly into the project’s fabric. If the initial target is met, stretch goals will expand funding for music videos, marketing, and freelance filmmakers across the South West.

The funds will directly support:

  • Session musicians and collaborators (£4,000)

  • Recording and production (£2,000)

  • Merchandise and vinyl pressings (£2,500)

  • Tour support and promotion for 2026 (£2,000 combined)

  • Translation, heritage consultation, and crowdfunder costs

Anna is no stranger to making big projects happen. A singer-songwriter and project manager, she’s built a reputation for her professionalism and grassroots connections, ensuring that Aneth will not only be completed but given the platform it deserves.
