Wax Palace and Aurora Sound Unite to Launch Alter Festival 2024

In an exciting new collaboration, the team behind Wax Palace and Aurora Sound have joined forces to unveil Alter Festival 2024. Alter promises an electrifying experience from Friday, August 2nd to Sunday, August 4th, 2024, nestled in the breathtaking landscape of Damerham, Hampshire, within the Cranborne Chase Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.

Boasting a stellar phase 1 lineup featuring the likes of mi-el, Ohmydais, DJ Love, and a myriad of other talents, Alter Festival is set to mesmerize a 700-strong crowd across two dynamic stages. But Alter isn't just about the music—it's a movement committed to inclusivity and representation within the electronic music community.

Founders Matilda Bear, Zade Tuaima, Ruth Dixon, and Georgie Lange are on a mission to redefine festival norms, shunning tokenism and championing female, non-binary, and LGBTQ+ DJs at the forefront of their programming. Their resolve stems from a stark reality—according to The Jaguar Foundation, a mere 28% of dance and electronic music artists performing at festivals in 2022 were female and non-binary.

In an era marred by financial uncertainties and production hurdles, Alter Festival emerges as a beacon of hope for grassroots talent. By fostering a sense of community through shared activities and interactive experiences, Alter aims to combat the "loneliness epidemic" plaguing young individuals, offering a sanctuary where like-minded souls can connect and thrive.

But Alter's allure extends beyond its auditory delights. With immersive staging, captivating lighting design, and interactive art installations, Alter promises a visual extravaganza like no other.

Tickets to this transformative experience start at £84 and will be available on www.alterfestival.co.uk from noon on Friday, February 2nd. For the latest updates, follow Alter Festival on Instagram @alterfestivaluk. Brace yourselves for a revolution in the electronic music realm—Alter Festival 2024 is set to redefine the festival landscape as we know it.
