Arlo Parks shares club-ready new single ‘Get Go’ ahead of new album Ambiguous Desire

Twice Grammy-nominated, Mercury Prize and BRIT Award-winning artist Arlo Parks has unveiled her latest single “Get Go,” the newest preview of her forthcoming album Ambiguous Desire, due April 3 via Transgressive Records.

Premiered as Hottest Record on BBC Radio 1, “Get Go” finds Parks blending her signature poetic lyricism with high-energy breakbeats inspired by London’s pirate radio culture. The track captures the melancholic euphoria of late-night clubbing, following a heartbroken reveller drifting through the dancefloor as the night unfolds around them.

In Parks’ own words, the song reflects the emotional core of the record: “Get Go perfectly encapsulates the sense of melancholy euphoria at the centre of the album. It’s about the dance floor as a means of healing, understanding yourself and discovering your relationship to love.”

The track follows recent singles “Heaven” and “2SIDED,” the latter of which Parks performed on Jimmy Kimmel Live! after its release. Both tracks will appear on Ambiguous Desire, a record shaped by the artist’s immersion in nightlife over the past two years — from New York’s queer club spaces to the shadowy electronic sounds of the UK underground.

Sonically, the album pulls inspiration from the likes of The Streets, Burial, LCD Soundsystem, and Detroit house pioneer Theo Parrish. Instead of traditional band arrangements, Parks leaned into modular synths, samplers and Ableton-driven production alongside collaborator Baird (Brockhampton, Kevin Abstract).

The result is Parks’ most experimental and dancefloor-driven project yet, while still foregrounding the lyrical intimacy that made her Mercury Prize-winning debut Collapsed in Sunbeams such a landmark.

Already hailed by critics as one of the defining voices of her generation, Parks has spent the past few years expanding her creative footprint — from publishing her poetry collection The Magic Border to writing on Cowboy Carter by Beyoncé. She has also performed at global festivals including Glastonbury Festival, Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival, and toured alongside Billie Eilish and Harry Styles.

Alongside the album release, Parks has announced an extensive global headline tour, including a major London show at O2 Academy Brixton on October 20. She will also appear as a special guest for David Byrne at a show in Dublin this June.

With Ambiguous Desire, Parks leans fully into the emotional electricity of the club — exploring desire, identity and connection through the haze of late-night dancefloors and poetic introspection.
