Last Night A DJ Saved My Life Launch 10th Anniversary T-shirt
Last Night A DJ Saved My Life (LNADJ) is a charitable foundation who have for the last ten years been creating unique fundraising initiatives for the electronic music industry and beyond. LNADJ supports children in crisis and their families through linking with various grassroots projects around the world. The foundation’s original aim was to create positive change through harnessing the creativity and energy found on dance floors worldwide and within the electronic music community. Faced with global lockdown our attention has turned to how we can harness this same energy online to create the world’s biggest DJ collective and demonstrate the power of music like never before.
Their latest Covid-19 relief appeal saw the charity ask the general public to to help their partner charities in developing countries and their communities to survive the drastic effects of lockdown & its after effects. Your donations will provide food, clean water and sanitation supplies to the most vulnerable we work with. "In some of the locations we support, people live hand to mouth, day to day. Whilst the lockdown is starting to be relaxed in some of the countries the need for support & assistance is as great as ever. Thanks to our trusted relationships at the grassroots level, we can get help quickly and directly to those in most need. Your contribution can make a HUGE difference! For example, just £20 can feed a family of four for a month in Uganda. You can head to their Just Giving Page to donate and for a full breakdown of our Relief Appeal locations and support."
One of the ways in which the charity have been fundraising has been through their scheme Set For Love, which are a set of live Streams aimed to harness the power & reach of the global electronic music community to raise much needed funds for our partner charities in Africa & other developing countries & the communities they support who are still in dire need due to the COVID-19 pandemic They are actively uniting DJs all over the globe, inviting them to stream a set for love to raise funds for our Covid-19 Relief Appeal. 1000s of DJ's have taken part in the initiative including the likes of Carl Cox, Eats Everything and Nightmares On Wax. Their last Set For Love live-stream event raised over £60,000 & made a huge difference. However, whilst the lockdown is starting to be relaxed in some countries the need for support & assistance is as great as ever.
The latest fundraising task the charity have been working on is the Last Night A DJ Saved My Life’s 10th Anniversary T-shirt. What better way to mark ten years than an amazing collaboration with fellow Last Night A DJ Saved My Life Art ambassadors Nicolas Dixon & Scott Gray (Chapter). Founder of Last Night A DJ Saved My Life Johnny Lee took to social media to express his excitement about the collaboration "It gives me great pleasure to announce this amazing collaboration with Last Night A DJ Saved My Life art ambassadors Scott Gray (Chapter) & Nicolas Dixon celebrating LNADJ’s 10th birthday This collab has been nearly 10 years in the making ! So for them both to get together and work on this makes it extra special. So much love when artists come together to giveback..."
