Work Party Welcomes Bailey Ibbs To Wharf Chambers This Friday

Following on from their our sell-out first dance at Assembly House, work party returns on the 22nd April at Wharf Chambers. They'll be joined by Italian-born London based producer Giulia Tess for her Leeds debut! Her versatile and unique style takes influence from jungle, dancehall and Southern Italian music, as seen on her genre-pushing release 200417 which featured a remix by Ross From Friends. Giulia’s earlier releases under her FKA alias DJ Tess, honed dubstep, dancehall and grime sonics, to create dancefloor heaters showcasing her wide-ranging tones, skills, and

influences. We can’t wait to hear what she brings to Leeds!

Bailey Ibbs will be headlining alongside Giulia, bringing an eclectic mix of dark techno, breaks, and electronica up north on the train with him. His latest release and first techno debut ‘Volta’ features 4 percussive, hypnotic, and refreshing tracks that push and breach the boundaries of the UK scene. We are really looking forward to bringing Bailey to Leeds, and hearing his new sound!

Support comes from Leeds local Krotone whose four-to-the-floor dub-heavy belters have been making (sonic) waves across the UK. Krotone has a bunch of self-released wax in his bag, while also being featured on VA’s by the likes of Earful of Wax and Of Paradise. We guarantee he will close this night down good and proper.

Also on the lineup are work party founders Bertie and Zuki because they made £4 last time and couldn’t afford anyone else(the night still banged, we promise). This edition is fundraising for Ukraine, specifically for the Disasters Emergency Committee. The doors open at 11:59 on the 22nd of April.

It's their third night of the year, following on from a sell-out at Assembly House with Amaliah +Lila, and a sell-out non-club-music party with Minus Kendal at the Packhorse. When talking about the party they shared "We’ve been wanting to take Work Party to Wharf for ages as we are big fans of intimate clubbing and love everything about Wharf and what it represents, so we are super excited to see Work Party come to life there! We are really focused on curating acts that work really well together while also having a diversity of sound from one another and we are really excited to see that on Friday!

As always, they'll be putting plenty of love into the visual aspect of our parties and this one will be no different, with moving visuals from former Leeds and now London-based artist Jazzy Usiskin, a smoke-filled room, and flashing lights. Last time round they raised around £500 for Art Refuge, while this time they are raising money to provide emergency aid and relief for the Ukrainian people, through a charity called the Disasters Emergency Committee. This time we got the RA pick as well! Come down on Friday for a night of great music, and even better company at the might Wharf Chambers.
