Wishy Announce Sophomore Album Nature’s Pill, Share Euphoric New Single ‘Lovesick’

Indianapolis indie-rock favourites Wishy have announced their second album, Nature’s Pill, due out 2 October via Winspear, alongside the release of its lead single, ‘Lovesick’. Fronted by Nina Pitchkites, ‘Lovesick’ is a shimmering rush of jangly guitars, dream-pop haze and unapologetic romanticism, channelling the bright-eyed immediacy of The Cure’s poppier moments and the buoyant charm of The Sundays. Arriving with a new video, the track serves as the first glimpse of the band's eagerly anticipated follow-up to their acclaimed debut album Triple Seven.

“There’s not much more that needs to be said about yearning in 2026, but here it is anyway,” Pitchkites says. “Kevin and I are stupidly romantic people who like twee pop, so that combination alone was a recipe for a cheeky ‘main character’ song. We really leaned into the overzealous lyrics here because 1) we’re allowed, 2) can do whatever we want and 3) it’s fun :) yay!”

The announcement caps off a remarkable rise for Wishy. Following breakout EPs Mana and Paradise in 2023, the band’s 2024 debut Triple Seven earned widespread acclaim from Pitchfork, NME, Stereogum, DIY and The New York Times, with many outlets naming it among the year’s best releases. Their momentum continued through 2025 with the release of Planet Popstar, a performance on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert, dates with Momma, and appearances at Kilby Block Party and Riot Fest.

Written more collaboratively than any previous Wishy release, Nature’s Pill reunites the band with Triple Seven co-producer Ben Lumsdaine. Recorded partly live in a cramped Los Angeles studio after extensive touring, the album expands the group's palette, blending the shoegaze and dream-pop textures of earlier releases with touches of ’80s college rock and early-2000s indie.

Across 12 tracks, Nature’s Pill explores romantic frustration, neurotic desire and the absurdity of modern life, balancing melancholia with the infectious hooks and widescreen guitar melodies that have quickly become Wishy trademarks.

The album features the newly released ‘Lovesick’ alongside tracks including ‘All The Rage’, ‘Covergirl’, ‘Sensational’, ‘Mona Lisa’ and ‘Party World’.

To support the release, Wishy will embark on an extensive North American headline tour this autumn, following previously announced dates with The Beths and Beach Bunny and an appearance at Brazil’s Balaclava Festival.
