ree

Thirty years after its original release, War Child’s landmark charity album HELP returns in a special anniversary edition, available now across streaming services and as a limited, numbered 7” box set. With over 60% of the limited edition already sold, fans can secure a piece of music history here.

Originally released in 1995, *HELP* was recorded in a single day, raising over £1.25 million to provide vital support to children affected by the Bosnian conflict. Mastered by Brian Eno with artwork by John Squire, the album featured an extraordinary lineup including Oasis and Friends, The Stone Roses, Radiohead, Portishead, Massive Attack, Suede, Blur, Neneh Cherry, Manic Street Preachers, and The Smokin’ Mojo Filters (Paul McCartney, Paul Weller, and Noel Gallagher). Q magazine famously called it “the best charity album ever made.”

The 30th Anniversary edition comes as a 10 x 7” vinyl box set, complete with three postcards featuring never-before-seen images from the Abbey Road session captured by Lawrence Watson. An additional postcard is included for orders placed via the War Child online store. This collector’s set celebrates not only the music but the enduring impact of HELP, which continues to resonate with a new generation of globally conscious listeners.

Today, nearly 19% of the world’s children are affected by conflict — almost double the figure in 1995. War Child, which initially focused on Bosnia, now works in 14 countries providing education, psychological support, and emergency aid to children in Gaza, Sudan, Ukraine, and beyond. The charity’s work has never been more vital, and the anniversary release of *HELP* is a reminder of the power of music to make a difference.
