BabyStep Magazine

In an exciting development from the heart of Pontypridd, the alt-rock pop band OTHERS releases their debut single "Lose It" today, February 16th, 2024. This marks a significant milestone for the trio, as they come together to create a storm with their latest offering in the Welsh music scene.

"Lose It" dives into the heart of emotional turmoil, combining entrancing guitar riffs with poignant lyrics that navigate the intricate facets of the human psyche. The band, comprising Grammy-nominated songwriter Danny, award-winning music.

video director Lewys, and seasoned guitarist Mark, has finally decided to step out of the shadows of overthinking and release music that resonates with them, free from the constraints of external opinions. The track is a testament to OTHERS' mission to bring their music to light, refusing to let potential hits languish on hard drives, lost in the quagmire of music industry politics. "Lose It" features an irresistible blend of catchy guitar riffs, somber melodies, and powerful vocals, drawing inspiration from the early '80s sounds and Michael Jackson's innovative blend of rock guitars with pop music.

Produced in collaboration with renowned songwriter-producer George Glew, "Lose It" captures the essence of OTHERS at this point in their journey. The song, co-written by Welsh songwriters Danny Lafrombe and Evan Gardner during the summer of 2023, explores the theme of losing control, the flare of anger, and the struggle to regain composure once the threshold of restraint has been crossed.

Frontman Danny shares his insight into the track, stating, "Lose It felt like the culmination of years of searching for our sound. It perfectly encapsulates the moment of losing grip on reality, making it the obvious choice for our debut single."

As 2024 unfolds, fans can anticipate more singles from OTHERS leading up to their debut EP release. With plans for unexpected collaborations, alternate versions, behind-the-scenes content, and their inaugural UK festival appearances as a trio, the year promises to be eventful for the band.

Following their successful collaboration "Outline" with Austrian DJ duo Wild Culture, which amassed over 300k streams and enjoyed heavy rotation on Radio Wales, OTHERS continues to build their reputation. Their support for Welsh pop singer Violet Skies at Clwb Ifor Bach last summer further showcased their ability to deliver an electrifying live performance.

With "Lose It," OTHERS are not just releasing a single; they're making a statement. Their music is a call to let go, to embrace the raw and unfiltered emotions, and to celebrate the power of authenticity in art.
