Tremor Festival 2026 Unveils First Wave of Artists for Sonic Adventure in the Azores

Tremor Festival is returning to São Miguel Island, Azores, from 24–28 March 2026, promising a bold, boundary-pushing journey through sound, culture, and community. The first wave of artists has been announced, highlighting the festival’s unique blend of experimental, traditional, and socially conscious music.

From the hypnotic drone explorations of Water Damage to Yerai Cortés’ daring contemporary flamenco, the lineup spans continents and genres. La Familia Gitana celebrate Romani heritage with vibrant, family-driven performances, while Jup do Bairro brings the electrifying energy of São Paulo’s streets, blending baile funk, metal, and socially charged rhythms.

One standout act, Egyptian artist Abdullah Miniawy, presents his new project Peacock Dreams, merging Sufi and Coptic traditions with baroque and operatic textures alongside trombonists Robinson Khoury and Jules Boittin. Other highlights include Portugal’s experimental voices Rodrigo Vaiapraia and DJ/producer MIX ‘ELLE, alongside Azorean talents Maria Carolina and MC Falcona, ensuring local creativity sits at the heart of the festival.

Following last year’s record-breaking sellout, anticipation for Tremor 2026 is already soaring, with tickets approaching capacity. Celebrated by outlets including The Quietus, Resident Advisor, Rolling Stone, and Forbes, and shortlisted for the 2025 Legacy Global Arts Prize, Tremor continues to cement its status as one of Europe’s most daring cultural events.
