East London's own, The Rifles, are set to shake up the music scene once again with their highly-anticipated album, 'Love Your Neighbour,' slated for release on April 26th. Marking their return after a seven-year hiatus, the indie rockers are already igniting excitement with the lead single, 'The Kids Won't Stop.'

Known for chart-topping albums like 'Big Life' and 'None The Wiser,' The Rifles have maintained a cult-like following, selling out iconic venues such as the Roundhouse, O2 Shepherd’s Bush Empire, and Brixton Academy. The dynamic energy and fervent reactions from these performances served as the driving force behind 'Love Your Neighbour,' a record that encapsulates the band's signature gritty anthems and relatable lyrics, providing snapshots of modern British life.

Vocalist/guitarist Joel Stoker shares the album's overarching message: "‘Love Your Neighbour is saying we’re all in this big old mess together and it would be good to get along a bit more and enjoy it. Talk to people more, help each other out when you can, say good morning and maybe take your head away from your phone for 5 minutes and appreciate the people standing next to you."

The lead single, 'The Kids Won't Stop,' is a sonic journey through the transitions from youth to adulthood, capturing the essence of daily annoyances and delivering a soaring, escapist hook that propels listeners into a positive state of mind.

Joel adds, "‘The Kids Won’t Stop’ sums up most of our lives at the moment: constantly busy, no time to breathe... but you have to keep going! It still has the high energy Rifles sound, but with a more representative subject matter to our lives at the moment. It is also a good indication of the sound for the album."

Despite the hiatus, The Rifles have been far from dormant, with regular headline shows, festivals, and Joel's acclaimed debut solo album, 'The Undertow.' Their dedication to creating a meaningful album led them to refine their material throughout 2022, ensuring that 'Love Your Neighbours' lives up to its full potential.

Pre-orders for 'Love Your Neighbour' are now available [here], offering exclusive formats like marbled red transparent vinyl, signed art prints, and individually signed test pressings. Various retailers, including Amazon, Assai, and HMV, present exclusive editions to cater to diverse fan preferences.

The Rifles offered fans a taste of the new material during last month's sold-out London show at the Electric Ballroom, with more excitement to come at their annual Christmas jumper party at Lafayette on December 21st. Stay tuned for details on their upcoming full UK headline tour, promising an electrifying live experience for devoted fans.
