THE MOLOTOVS CRASH UK CHARTS WITH DEBUT ALBUM SMASH

Teenage London rock duo The Molotovs have exploded onto the UK music scene as debut album Wasted On Youth storms straight in at No.3 on the Official UK Albums Chart — a huge statement arrival for one of the country’s most exciting new guitar bands.

Built the old-school way — through relentless touring, raw live energy and genuine fan connection — the band are proving you don’t need hype or algorithms when you’ve got real demand. The release comes as their newly announced UK tour shifts 5,000 tickets in just 24 hours, underlining the growing movement around the band.

Still in their teens, siblings Matt (17) and Issey Cartlidge (19) have already played over 600 shows, turning dive bars into sold-out rooms and building a fiercely loyal fanbase along the way. That grassroots momentum has now translated into chart success, powered by more than 6,000 physical pre-orders from fans they’ve met face-to-face on the road.

Released via Marshall Records, Wasted On Youth is a high-voltage mix of new wave, punk, indie and garage — packed with standout singles including More More More More, Get A Life, Rhythm Of Yourself and Today’s Gonna Be Our Day.

With a major UK tour coming this September — including London’s 2,300-capacity Forum — The Molotovs aren’t just having a breakthrough moment. They’re building a movement.
