Opening up about the inspiration behind the release, TeaMarrr reveals the song was born from a deeply personal period of rediscovery following a 2023 overdose that left her disconnected from her sense of confidence and sexuality. A recent virtual romance, however, reignited that spark, inspiring a track that celebrates reclaiming desire while remaining aware of the risks that come with it.

"'SHARK baiT' blends the version of me that wants to flirt with danger using my Marilyn Monroe childlike essence with the version that's very aware of the sharks in the water but still wants to jump in and win the game," she explains.
