Steve Lacy has shared his latest single, 'is it cool? (feat. SZA)'

The long-awaited collaboration follows months of speculation after the pair confirmed they had been in the studio together earlier this year, and it more than delivers. Built around Lacy's signature blend of hazy guitars, sleek R&B and effortless pop instincts, 'is it cool?' pairs his candid songwriting with SZA's ethereal vocals for a striking meditation on self-sabotage, complicated relationships and emotional honesty.

The release follows lead single 'the feeling', which introduced the record as Lacy's boldest artistic statement yet. Self-produced and written across a four-year period, Oh yeah? finds the Grammy-winning artist navigating feelings of displacement, identity and belonging, ultimately emerging with what is described as his most personal work to date.

Alongside the new single, Lacy has also unveiled the album's full tracklist, revealing guest appearances from SZA, Erykah Badu and Cecile Believe.

Described as "a record for guitar kids who love synths and synth kids who love guitars," Oh yeah? continues to blur the lines between alternative, pop and R&B while cementing Lacy's status as one of modern music's defining voices. With two Grammy Awards, multiple billion-streaming singles and a reputation as one of contemporary music's most influential creatives, the 28-year-old continues to evolve on his own terms.

To celebrate the album's release, Steve Lacy will embark on an Asia tour this summer, including headline appearances at Summer Sonic in Japan and Lalala Festival in the Philippines and Indonesia.

Steve Lacy's new album Oh yeah? arrives July 17 via RCA Records. Listen to 'is it cool? (feat. SZA)' now.
