Simple Things Completes 2026 Curator Line-Up as Cobrah Joins Festival with The Avalanches Leading Massive Second Wave

Simple Things has unveiled the second wave of artists for its 2026 edition, confirming Cobrah as the festival's fourth and final guest curator while announcing legendary Australian duo The Avalanches as very special guests.
Returning to Bristol on Saturday 7 November, the city's celebrated multi-venue festival continues to cement its reputation as one of the UK's most adventurous showcases of contemporary music culture, with more than 60 artists now confirmed.
Making their first Bristol appearance in almost a decade, The Avalanches headline the latest announcement with a rare UK performance. Famed for transforming forgotten records into euphoric, genre-defying soundscapes, the duo will bring tracks spanning the seminal Since I Left You, Wildflower and beyond in what promises to be one of the festival's standout moments.
The announcement also completes Simple Things' ambitious new guest curator programme, with Swedish electronic provocateur Cobrah joining Jeremy Deller, Shabaka and Squid to each curate their own unique strand of the festival. Known for her fearless collision of hyperpop, techno and ballroom influences, Cobrah's involvement signals another bold expansion of the festival's boundary-pushing identity.
The second wave continues to underline Simple Things' commitment to championing pioneering artists from across the musical spectrum. Olof Dreijer brings his intricate, leftfield club productions, while Hannah Diamond delivers her unmistakable PC Music-inspired pop. Elsewhere, Alewya, Big Brave, Mermaid Chunky, Takuya Nakamura and rising experimental outfit RIP Magic further strengthen one of the festival's most eclectic line-ups to date.
Electronic music remains firmly at the festival's core, with performances from 96 Back, Alex Wilcox, Grand River, and Kloyd, while Bristol's thriving underground scene is represented by local favourites including Marla Kether, The Menstrual Cramps and collaborative project DIALS.
With iconic venues including Bristol Beacon, Strange Brew, Rough Trade, The Sportsmans and the newly added Shredenhams skatepark hosting performances across the city, Simple Things 2026 is shaping up to be its biggest and boldest edition yet.
With the four guest curators still to unveil their bespoke artist selections, there's even more to come from what is already one of the UK's most exciting festival line-ups of the year.
