Poesie Unleashes Defiant New Single ‘Curious Eve’

London-based artist Poesie is making a powerful statement with her latest single, Curious Eve, a bold indie-rock anthem that reimagines one of history's most iconic female figures through a contemporary feminist and environmental lens.

Available now via APOLLO Distribution, Curious Eve sees the singer-songwriter expanding her sonic palette with crunchy guitar riffs, driving percussion and unexpected organ flourishes, creating a theatrical and emotionally charged soundscape that feels both urgent and cinematic.

Taking inspiration from the biblical story of Eve, the track explores themes of responsibility, rebellion and consequence, reframing the narrative for a modern audience. Poesie's dynamic vocal performance shifts effortlessly between soaring melodies, rhythmic spoken-word passages and a brief rap section, giving the song a compelling sense of movement and drama.

Drawing comparisons to the storytelling prowess of Kate Bush, Curious Eve balances indie-rock energy with lyrical depth, delivering a track that is as thought-provoking as it is infectious.

The release serves as the lead single from Poesie's forthcoming second EP, Nature Mother, arriving later this month. The five-track project continues her exploration of humanity, ecology and identity, while further cementing her reputation as one of the most distinctive emerging voices on the UK indie scene.

Since breaking onto the scene with her 2025 electropop release Hunter-Gatherer, Poesie has built a reputation for pairing danceable production with meaningful social commentary. With a background in theatre, she has also become known for her captivating live performances, bringing an added sense of drama and storytelling to her music.

As anticipation builds for Nature Mother and a headline show at London's Paper Dress Vintage this October, Curious Eve offers a striking glimpse into an artist unafraid to challenge conventions and spark conversation through song.

Curious Eve is available now on all major streaming platforms.
