UK producer nimino has released his latest single “Orla”, out now via Counter Records, the Ninja Tune imprint, as his spring North American tour continues to sell out across multiple cities.
The new track arrives as part of a steady run of releases from the rising electronic artist, following recent singles “Rest Easy”, “Better (feat. Manta)”, and “Beside of Me (feat. Maverick Sabre)”. Inspired by the powerful resonance of large chords heard inside London church buildings, “Orla” captures the expansive atmosphere of those spaces, translating their emotional weight into nimino’s signature blend of house, UK garage and lo-fi textures.
The release lands in the middle of nimino’s packed tour schedule across North America, with sold-out shows in cities including Toronto, Montreal, San Francisco, Vancouver, Chicago, Boulder, Dallas and Austin. The run will also see him return to Coachella, where he is set to perform on the Heineken House stage on 12 and 19 April.
nimino’s ascent over the past year has been rapid. His breakout single “I Only Smoke When I Drink” became a viral hit in 2024, racking up more than 208 million streams, earning BRIT Silver certification, and spending over 25 weeks on Billboard’s Dance/Electronic chart. His sound — a lush fusion of house grooves, UK garage rhythms and emotive melodies — has earned support from tastemakers including Pete Tong, Diplo and Danny Howard, while BBC Radio 1 aired his Essential Mix.
Further recognition has followed, with nimino named Amazon Music’s Artist to Watch, featured on billboards in Times Square and Leicester Square, and highlighted by Billboard Dance as its inaugural Rising Artist of the Month. Festival appearances have included Coachella, Lollapalooza, Outside Lands, Lightning in a Bottle, Lost Village and Leeds Festival, alongside sold-out headline shows at venues such as Brooklyn Steel and The Fonda Theatre in Los Angeles.
With “Orla” continuing his run of atmospheric club-leaning singles and a global touring schedule underway, nimino’s momentum shows little sign of slowing.
