Moon Panda release new single 'Butterknife'

California/Danish dream pop quartet Moon Panda are back with Butterknife, the shimmering new single from their upcoming third album Dumb Luck, dropping October 3 via Moon Panda/Virgin Music Group.

Bassist and vocalist Maddy Myers calls Butterknife “a love song for those insecure moments in a relationship” — a tender track written in just 20 minutes that features a charming shaker outro played by her one-year-old son. The band’s most collaborative and sensuous work yet, Dumb Luck blends blissed-out vibes reminiscent of The Cardigans and The Carpenters with deeply personal themes shaped by Myers’ journey into motherhood and a new life in Southern California.

Recorded largely in their home studio and co-produced with Adam Thein, Dumb Luck is a heartfelt exploration of growth, loss, and renewal — capturing the band at their most intimate and expansive.
