Manchester’s pyncher Share Debut EP ‘Every Town Needs A Stranger’

Manchester garage-rock quartet pyncher drop their long-awaited debut EP, Every Town Needs A Stranger, today via crackedankles. The 8-track collection charts the band’s journey from wide-eyed newcomers to one of the city’s most beloved rising acts, packed with buzzsaw riffs, playful vocals, and raw garage-rock energy.

Leading single ‘Back To The Country’ showcases their signature mix of idiosyncratic vocals and swamping riffs, a track the band says “emanates a desire for connection and escape.” With a 7” vinyl of ‘Steely Dan’ selling out in under an hour and a series of sold-out hometown shows already behind them, pyncher’s status as cult favourites is building fast.

The band hit the road supporting The Wytches this week, before embarking on a headline UK tour in November. Backed by praise from BBC Radio 6Music, Radio X, CLASH, Louder Than War and more, pyncher are primed to move from intimate rooms to the wider stage.
