Beyond The Music: Essentials





**Manchester, August 25th, 2023** – Manchester's music scene is set for a fresh and accessible musical experience as Beyond The Music and LUSH collaborate to present 'Music For Everyone.' As part of the inaugural edition taking place from October 11th to 14th, this unique initiative will feature a day of free-entry live music on October 12th at the heart of Manchester's city center. With a focus on supporting grassroots venues and artists, the event aims to make live music accessible to all.


Frontlining Beyond The Music's debut edition, Thursday's lineup includes the all-new LUSH HOUSE at Ramona. This specially curated space will host live performances, DJs, and immersive experiences by LUSH, offering a taste of emerging talents to Manchester's music enthusiasts.


Entry to the Beyond The Music x LUSH 'Music For Everyone' showcases on October 12th is easy with free tickets, available now on the Beyond The Music website. Although the first wave of tickets for the full festival and conference, spanning October 11th to 14th, has sold out, the next wave of tickets will be available starting August 31st. Melody Morton, Lush Concepts Creative Director, shares her enthusiasm about the collaboration: "Lush has always been about community and collaboration with musicians, not just passive listening. Our partnership with Beyond The Music for 'Music For Everyone' in Manchester is exciting. Beyond The Music's celebrations don't end there. On October 14th, an undisclosed location will witness a day-long celebration of Manchester's vibrant club scene, curated by the iconic The Face Magazine. The lineup features local talents such as MOBO-nominated Anz, Finn, co-founder of NTS Manchester, and Tom Boogizm, with more names to be announced.


BBC Introducing is making a comeback with its celebrated music discovery event – BBC Introducing Live. In partnership with Beyond The Music, they're curating a panel discussion on the UK music talent pipeline and the growth of new artists. The program at the iconic Band on the Wall venue will showcase Manchester's diverse musical landscape. Confirmed acts include July 7, Wooze, Walt Disco, Cody Frost, and L’Objectif. The program will also include an open decks session, providing aspiring DJs a platform to spin their tracks for a live audience.




Beyond The Music's founder Oli Wilson sums up the excitement: "Our carefully curated lineup of emerging talents in the city is ready to shine, and we're thrilled to share it with everyone. Thanks to LUSH, new music discovery is now an inclusive experience, uniting us in our mission to uplift grassroots venues, nurture new artists, and support the local music ecosystem."


In the spirit of driving change within the industry, Beyond The Music is now accepting submissions for their 'Discovered' program. Aimed at fostering music discovery through live performances, this program offers new artists and bands the chance to showcase their talents to a panel of music industry experts. Submissions are currently open.


The festival introduces the Pay It Forward system, designed to maximize accessibility for aspiring music industry professionals who might face financial constraints. Applications for PIF tickets are now open, ensuring that no one is left behind in this inclusive musical journey.
