Lucky Iris share deluxe edition of breakout mixtape fall in love with the dj

Leeds hyperpop duo Lucky Iris have released the deluxe edition of their acclaimed debut mixtape fall in love with the dj, out now via Launchpad+ and EMI North.

The expanded edition arrives with two brand new tracks — better with you and the glitchy, euphoric new single ‘i dream of you and i’, which pushes the duo’s bold club-pop sound into even more experimental territory.

At the centre of the deluxe release is ‘i dream of you and i’, a restless burst of glitch-pop energy, combining choppy vocal samples, gritty synth textures and euphoric hooks. It’s a track that captures the duo’s playful, maximalist approach to pop while leaning into the dancefloor chaos that has become their trademark.

Speaking about the new additions, Maeve says the expanded project continues the spirit of experimentation that defined the original mixtape.

“The mixtape was an exploration of the music we want to hear and the deluxe is an extension of that. The two additional tracks could not be more different, but they show our range. ‘i dream of you and i’ is the crunch of Lucky Iris pushed to the max, but paired as always with sickly sweet vocals.”

She adds that the track draws on a more personal inspiration. “‘i dream of you and i’ is basically a Lucky Iris sleepcast — if you like falling asleep to incredibly intense glitch pop. When I can’t sleep I think about nice things… and what’s nicer than falling in love? So I dream of love and pink skies — to the crunchiest soundtrack of course.”

The deluxe release builds on the momentum of a breakthrough year for the Leeds-based duo, whose original mixtape included standout tracks fall in love with the dj, i just want to dance and play me like a speaker. The project has received widespread praise from tastemakers including NME, Clash, DIY, Wonderland, Rolling Stone UK and BBC Radio 6 Music.

Originally formed as a bedroom pop experiment during lockdown, Lucky Iris — made up of songwriter-producer pair Maeve and Jasper — have since evolved into one of the UK’s most exciting new electronic pop acts. Their genre-blurring sound fuses hyperpop, club music and electro-pop, built around bold production and high-energy live performances.

The pair have also been named in the NME 100 for 2026, marking them as one of the most essential emerging artists in the UK right now.

The mixtape was created alongside mix engineer Richard Wilkinson (Adele, Bombay Bicycle Club, Kaiser Chiefs) and Latin Grammy-nominated engineer Felipe Arvelo, helping bring the duo’s glitchy, high-gloss production to life.

With a reputation for electric live shows, Lucky Iris have recently shared stages with the likes of Dorian Electra, Hannah Diamond, Babymorocco, LYNKS, Kai Bosch, Bimini and Jessica Winter, as well as touring with Master Peace.

Following the release of the deluxe edition, the duo will hit a run of UK live dates, including shows in Leeds, London and Edinburgh.
