Lucky Iris Announce New Mixtape fall in love with the dj and Share Explosive New Single ‘Play Me Like a Speaker’

Leeds hyper-pop duo Lucky Iris are back with details of their new mixtape, fall in love with the dj, set for release on 23rd January 2026 via EMI North Records’ Launchpad+ imprint. The announcement comes alongside the release of their new single, ‘Play Me Like a Speaker’, a full-throttle, club-ready surge of synths, vocals, and unapologetic energy.

Building on the unrelenting pulse of their day to night EP, Lucky Iris have enlisted mixing engineer Richard Wilkinson (Adele, Kaiser Chiefs) and Latin Grammy-nominated mastering expert Felipe Arevalo to push their sound to bold, electrifying extremes. The result is a six-track mixtape described by Maeve as:"about dancing, yearning, love and loss, and most of all, music… crunchy, pop, and meant to be enjoyed."

‘Play Me Like a Speaker’ was created on the South West coast of Ireland with minimal gear—a laptop, mic, and a 25-key mini keyboard—and reportedly shattered the duo’s car speakers on first listen. The track sets the tone for the mixtape, combining razor-sharp synths, unyielding vocal chops, and the duo’s signature hyper-pop flair.

Lucky Iris are celebrating a standout year with major Spotify editorial support, festival appearances, and tours alongside artists such as LYNKS, Dorian Electra, Kai Bosch, Hannah Diamond, Bimini, and Jessica Winter, as well as SXSW London.

To mark the mixtape announcement, Lucky Iris will embark on their first UK tour supporting Master Peace, with dates in Nottingham, Cardiff, Southampton, Margate, and Norwich, plus a special London show with SHARKTANK. Tickets are on sale now.
