Introducing: Rylo & Le Prof

London’s dynamic duo Rylo & Le Prof are back, turning up the heat with their sophomore single “Swanky” — a fresh UK Garage banger infused with Brazilian summer vibes. After bursting onto the scene with their debut “Back Of The Whip,” the pair have caught the ear of AJ Tracey and gained support from heavyweights like Capital XTRA, Wonderland, and COLORS. With “Swanky,” they blend razor-sharp flows and slick wordplay with samba rhythms and Bossa Nova grooves, delivering a summer anthem that’s equal parts party energy and musical innovation. Ahead of the single’s release, we caught up with Rylo & Le Prof to dive into their vibrant sound and what’s next on the horizon.

Swanky" is such a unique blend - what inspired you to fuse UK Garage with Brazilian rhythms, and how did that creative process unfold?

While creating the beat we was listening to Brazilian drum samples, one really matched the rhythm and tempo of “swanky”. What’s weird about this is we had no plans of using a Brazilian drum sample it was all in the spear of the moment as the drum beat caught our ears,

Rylo, you mentioned that you weren't chasing a sound but "following the rhythm" - can you break down what that means for you both creatively and in the studio?

Yh creatively we never chase a sound we never want to sound like anyone else . Our identity is literally music we feel that the beat and lyrics really showcase who we are as people not just rappers and producers. In the studio the aim is to create music we enjoy making and listening to. We know the people are going to enjoy it because it’s real and authentic.

You've got AJ Tracey in your corner, and outlets like COLORS and Capital Xtra backing you - how are you navigating this early buzz, and what does that kind of support mean at this stage?

We really appreciate all the support from everyone it shows that we are doing something right. It  motivates us to keep hustling and creating it’s generally  hard to get support these days as the industry is rapidly growing . When rappers who are successful in the industry especially the dance scene are showing us love it pushes us to be as successful if not even more.

There's a real block-party energy to "Swanky" - how do you go about translating that vibe into your live performances and visuals?

We feel like we are the party so the energy will forever translate in whatever we do. We grew up going to block parties , raves and festivals so our energy will show naturally through any content music and videos we put out.

From school friends to collaborators - how has your journey together shaped the music you're making now, and what can fans expect next from Rylo & Le Prof?

We grew up in a era where uk music we feel had way more variety, making UK garage we embrace what we loved growing up and mix it with even newer sounds we also love. People can expect a lot of music in the next year no doubt !
