Getting To Know: Jude Moore

BabyStep Magazine

UK’s fast-rising indie-pop sensation Jude Moore is making waves with a live version of his hit single *Twisted*, released via Snipe Records. The track, which reached No.5 on the UK Singles Sales Chart and became a fan favorite on TikTok, captures the thrill of youth and the carefree days of a ’90s kid. Jude’s reflective yet high-energy performance, backed by a full band, combines the heartfelt anthems of Sam Fender with Harry Styles-esque pop hooks, showcasing his knack for blending raw emotion with undeniable catchiness. Following his breakout single *My Mind* earlier this year, fans can look forward to more from Jude as he prepares to unveil his next big project.

1. "Twisted" has resonated with so many listeners and quickly became a hit. Can you share what inspired you to write the song, and why you think it connects so well with your audience?

I think it connects because a lot of people can relate to my past, especially ’90s babies and early 2000s kids, as we all got up to mischief and had those moments of realization.

2. The new live version of "Twisted" showcases your performance with a full band. How did the experience of performing it live compare to the original studio recording, and what was the creative process behind this version?

Well, it was my first-ever time doing a live performance, so it was very different. But I enjoyed it a lot. It’s very different from recording in the studio, but I loved it, to be honest.

3. You’ve mentioned that "Twisted" reflects the carefree yet rebellious nature of youth. How do your own experiences as a 90s kid influence your songwriting and the themes you explore in your music?

I think growing up, having to knock for your friends, riding around all day until it got dark—just the general stuff we did as kids—really inspires me, considering how quickly time and technology have moved on since then.

4. Your sound has been compared to artists like Sam Fender and Harry Styles, blending heartfelt songwriting with catchy pop hooks. Who are your biggest musical influences, and how have they shaped your style?

To be honest, I love Harry Styles. He has such a great tone to his voice, and yes, Sam Fender is very talented. To be compared to the likes of them is crazy.

Growing up, I was listening to the likes of Jamie T, Mike Skinner, Daniel Merriweather, Oasis, Blur, Johnny Cash, and Dennis Brown. My taste in music is endless.

5. With the success of "Twisted" and your earlier releases, what can fans expect from your upcoming projects? Is there a new album or more singles in the works that we can look forward to?

Yes, sure. I have an EP dropping in early January, and I expect to release my debut album in 2025.
