Acclaimed pianist and composer friqtao returns with ‘Lifestream 2’, a cinematic five-track EP that builds on the emotional and sonic world he first introduced with his debut release Lifestream in October 2025.
Out now on all major streaming platforms, the project is led by the evocative single ‘Raindrops’, a reflective composition inspired by the cycle of water and the continuous motion of life itself. The EP sees friqtao pushing his sound further, blending delicate piano work with subtle experimental textures — including unexpected sonic elements like siren samples on ‘SOS’.
“Lifestream 2 is the succession of my first project,” friqtao explains. “It’s the progression of my inner musical vision. I approached this EP in a more experimental way while still keeping the piano at the heart of everything.”
Across five pieces — ‘Raindrops’, ‘Glitches’, ‘Congratulations’, ‘SOS’ and ‘fristyle’ — friqtao crafts a cohesive listening journey designed to be experienced in sequence. The result is a meditative yet purposeful body of work, balancing quiet introspection with cinematic scope.
The EP arrives alongside friqtao’s biggest tour to date, which begins tonight at The Jazz Café in London before heading across Europe with stops in Paris, Amsterdam, Berlin, Copenhagen and Switzerland. His rise over the past year has been rapid. After building a massive online following through viral piano performances filmed on public pianos in train stations around the world, friqtao has evolved from internet sensation into a fully realised recording artist. His debut EP Lifestream received support from tastemakers including Clash, Notion and Fault, while Amazon Music recently named him one of its 2026 Artists to Watch.
With 3.7 million followers on TikTok and a growing reputation for immersive, minimalist live performances centred entirely around the piano, friqtao is now translating the intimate energy of his viral videos into real-world stages.
With Lifestream 2, he takes another confident step forward — refining his sound while inviting listeners deeper into a musical journey rooted in vulnerability, reflection and movement.
