Northampton duo Fountain have unveiled their latest single, ‘Honest Man’, a searing garage-rock track built on heavy, blues-inspired riffs and atmospheric textures. The single gives a bold glimpse of the band’s upcoming EP, ‘Big Bag Of New Nothings’, due 13th January 2026.
Marking a clear evolution in their sound, ‘Honest Man’ sees Fountain exploring deeper lyrical territory, drawing on philosophy and existential searching while blending urgency, chaos, and cinematic flair. The track showcases the chemistry between Ally Wilkinson and Jordan Noon, who stripped back to a duo format, creating a tension that fuels the music’s distinctive edge.
Fountain’s influences span The OSEES, Sun Kil Moon, Timber Timbre, Beastie Boys, Queens of the Stone Age, and classic blues figures like RL Burnside and Howlin’ Wolf, along with cinematic inspirations from Ennio Morricone and Duane Eddy. The result is a sound that’s both grounded and expansive, steeped in raw garage rock but cinematic in scope.
The duo will perform live at The Troubadour, West London, on 21st October, promising a taste of the EP’s intensity in a live setting.
With ‘Honest Man’, Fountain step confidently into a new era, crafting music that’s thrilling, bold, and impossible to ignore.
