Emily Eavis Reveals Update On Glastonbury Resale Tickets

Hopeful Glastonbury-goers, brace yourselves: resale tickets for this year's highly anticipated festival are poised to be in short supply. According to Emily Eavis, co-organizer of the iconic event, the availability of resale tickets will be severely limited due to an unprecedented number of festival attendees settling their ticket balances in full.

Announcing the news on Instagram, Eavis expressed her gratitude, revealing that Glastonbury saw its highest-ever percentage of ticket balances paid. However, this positive development comes with a downside for those eyeing a chance in the resale market. As reported by the BBC, the number of resale tickets hinges on the number of attendees who fail to pay the full amount after initially securing their tickets with a deposit last November.

Resale opportunities for both ticket-only and coach travel options are slated to commence on Thursday, April 18th, with general admission and accommodation options following suit on Sunday, April 21st. To be eligible for a shot at snagging tickets, aspiring festival attendees must ensure they are registered by Friday, April 12th. It's worth noting that all tickets purchased during the resale must be paid for in full.

Glastonbury advises registered individuals to verify their details online before the registration deadline, emphasizing the importance of accuracy to streamline the ticket purchasing process. As anticipation mounts for the festival's return from June 26th to June 30th, the lineup continues to take shape with an array of stellar acts confirmed to grace the stage. From electronic legends like Orbital, Disclosure, and LCD Soundsystem to rising talents such as Nia Archives and Eliza Rose, the eclectic lineup promises something for every music aficionado.

Notably, the return of Faithless to the live arena, following the passing of Maxi Jazz in 2022, adds a poignant touch to this year's festivities. With tickets priced at £355, an increase of £20 from the previous year, securing a spot at Glastonbury 2024 promises to be a hotly contested affair. Brace yourselves, music lovers – the race for Glasto tickets is on!
