Borderline Announce Debut Album and Unleash Infectious New Single 'That Girl'
Rising New Zealand four-piece Borderline have officially announced their long-awaited self-titled debut album, set for release on 26 June via EMPIRE, alongside the arrival of their exuberant new single That Girl and a brilliantly chaotic Scooby Doo-inspired music video.
Fresh from a 14-date North American tour across the US and Canada, the Auckland outfit continue their rapid ascent with a track that perfectly captures the band's infectious energy and undeniable chemistry. Packed with shimmering vintage synths, soaring hooks and unapologetic 80s flair, That Girl sees Borderline embracing their love of classic pop icons such as Michael Jackson and Prince while delivering one of their most confident releases to date.
The accompanying video matches the song's larger-than-life spirit, following the band as they investigate a spooky haunted house in a tongue-in-cheek adventure inspired by classic Scooby Doo episodes. Filmed inside a former asylum turned haunted attraction, the ambitious visual is packed with retro styling, playful humour and plenty of high-energy performance shots.
