Monthly Line-Up List List: January 18'


We bring you this article two weeks into the month as we’re sure you’re now at the stage of wanting to go out again, after what may have been a big new year or to follow on from failed promises of a ‘Dry January’. January is a typically tamer month for parties, but some of the events listed here could down as some of the best of the year… Here’s BabyStep’s picks for January. Enjoy!

19th of January:

Artwork + Peggy Gou + Or:la @ XOYO, London

Set to be one of the key nights of Artwork's 13-week residency down in the Shoreditch basement. He brings along two of the most talented women in dance music right now for a big ol’ party. These heavyweights will no doubt make this one to remember!

19th of January:

Pretty Pretty Good Presents Pangaea, Willow and Joe @ Wire, Leeds

To mark their first ever weekend date, Pretty Pretty Good put together what’s safe to say a pretty pretty good line-up. Leeds’ own Pangea is joined by the up and coming Willow and finally,JOE who returns to DJing after a 7-year break. Expect the three of them to keep the dancefloor filled all night long.

20th of January:

EGG LDN presents: FJAAK (Live), Fadi Mohem, Victor, Unusual Suspects @ EGG, London

FJAAK have had an incredible 2017, with a string of critically acclaimed releases and a global tour of their incredible live performance. The Berlin boys headline a sold-out EGG to coincide with the release of their debut album,out on Monkeytime on the 20th. Room 2 is in the hands of Sankey’s forward-thinking, minimal promoter ‘Unusual Suspects’ who make their debut appearance outside of the White Isle. This one will pop off.

26th of January:

Jayda G and Pender Street Steppers @ Hare and Hounds, Birmingham

Leftfoot call on two of Canada’s finest for a night of pure vibes. Jayda G, one of the queens of the scene who had a terrific 2017 headlines.. She will be joined by the Washington vibe pioneers Pender Street Steppers.

26th of January:

Ossia with Leon Vynehall and Sassy J @ Hidden, Manchester

January is generally a dry month for events in Manchester due to WHP season being over,but Ossia have put together a wonderful night at Hidden, with Leon Vynehall and Sassy J. Both are to given free reigns for the night with two extended sets, it’s not surprising this one sold out early.

26th of January:

Trouble Vision with Matthew Herbert, Skatebård & O'Flynn @ Corsica Studios, London

An incredibly varied line-up from Trouble Vision, calling on 3 extremely intriguing prospects to light up Corsica’s infamous room 1. UK trailblazer Herbert tops the bill, bringing his innovative and explorative sound. Following him are the more club ready, but equally unique sounds of Skatebård and O’Flynn. Expect a night like no other in January.

27th of January:

THEM v Dsnt @ Corsica Studios, London.

Absolute belter of a line-up the night after Trouble Vision. Hardcore, Gabba and Jungle are on the table for this one, with some massive figures in the game to chef up the sets. Mumdance and Sunil Sharpe orchestrate a what’s set to be a magnificent celebration of all things dark in London.
