Organic New Music Friday #8

Welcome back to Organic New Music Friday! It's been an intense week, and what better way to welcome the weekend than indulging in new releases from some of the best up-and-coming producers.

Shauna - 'Train Dream' [Interpolate Records]

Shauna has been hard at work the past few years, from hosting her own show Liquid Orange on FoodHall Community Radio, to playing at multiple venues across Leeds and consistently releasing her own tunes. This week has seen the release of her debut EP Original Workout, a 4-piece Detroit-inspired selection of "club-ready" tracks. The first single from the EP is tech-house head-banger Train Dream, and has been released this week on Electronic Groove.

Train Dream is out now on Soundcloud, and the full EP is available to pre-order now for the 27th November.

Gimme a Break Records - 'We are Viable'

GAB Records have cemented their spot firmly as ones to watch within the Leeds scene, gathering a huge selection of producers for their VA We are Viable, out Friday 13th of November. This edit-based compilation is rooted in remakes of breakbeat, UKG and jungle, promising to have you remembering a selection of iconic tracks in completely new ways. The 20-piece album will be available to buy via Bandcamp, with pre-order from tomorrow. All proceeds will be donated to the Leeds-based charity MAP, enabling young people who cannot access mainstream schooling to receive alternative music education. This is going to be a great release for a great cause, so make sure you check it out.

Moodrich - 'In Your Heart'

Moodrich never fail to keep em coming, with this week's release of Lo-Fi-meets-breaks number In Your Heart. This track lowers the temperature considerably, combining a soft breakbeat with beautifully resonating synthy sounds.

Jenifa Mayanja - 'Inbetween'

With a punching baseline, acoustic percussion and layerings of swirling sounds, Jenifa Mayanja's Inbetween is a track that seriously chills you out. This tune is part of the complicated All My Thoughts - curated by Sen Wildblood - also featuring Project Runaway, Closet Yi, Ouri and Aguila.

IZCO - 'Ps In'

IZCO never fails to entangle the sounds of UKG, Grime and other electronic melodies into his music. Ps In is part of his latest EP that was released on the 2nd November, sitting alongside 140-belter Warrior Chant.
