Monthly Line-up list: August '17

Summer is peaking and so are its line-ups. August boasts an incredible selection of line-ups all over the UK. From rare appearances by renowned selectors like Dixon, Jeremy Underground and Omar S to my personal selections for the carnival weekend. In this new monthly feature I’ll be picking my favourite line-ups of the month to help out anyone who wants to have a good time.

Friday 04 August:

Jeremy Underground (All Night Long)

A unique chance to see the incredible selector play an all-night set in London. The Parisian crate-digger is yet to play in the UK this year and only has 2 other dates booked at Lost Village festival and WHP. You’d be mad to miss this.

Saturday 12th August:

Make Me: Sunfall Night Session

A killer line-up at Corsica Studios for their Sunfall night session, with 4 definitive headline acts it’s unnecessarily brilliant. With Ben UFO and Hauff making their debut London club appearances for 2017. In my opinion, this is the best London lineup this month.

Saturday 19th August:

XOYO Loves: Omar-S - XOYO 5th Birthday

Detroit legend Omar S and the up and coming Or;la play at XOYO to celebrate the clubs 5th anniversary. London club sets from Omar S are rare and he brings years of experience to deliver his funk, soul and groove influenced take on House to Shoreditch.

Friday 25th August:

FABRICLIVE: Heartless Crew Carnival Warm Up Special

A stunning FABRICLIVE lineup showcasing the best in UKG, DnB, urban and bass in the UK right now. Since its move to only 1 FABRICLIVE event each month, the programming has improved greatly, with each lineup filled with the big names in the scene.

Outside London:

Friday 25th August:

Percolate: Sub Club XXX & Optimo 20

Glasgow institution sub club link up with percolate to host a belter of a party at hidden in Manchester. The line-up features club resident legends Optimo and Harri and Dominic, bringing decades of experience. 2016’s breakthrough star Denis Sulta also joins the line-up who is sure to bring the heat.

Saturday 26th August:

Yard: Open Air Club

'YARD Open Air Club’ is motions biggest and most ambitious outdoor event to date. The launch event features one of the hottest club line-ups of the summer, filled with massive names. Just listen to this; Detroit pioneer Jeff Mills, eccentric party chiefs Seth Troxler and Eats Everything, and eclectic selectors Midland, Joy Orbison and Axel Bowman. The night also promises two live sets from Osgut Ton resident Tobias and Brooklyn's own Octo Octa. Stunning line-up to kick off what will no doubt be another incredible series of parties for the club.

Saturday 26th August:

Nightvision/Musika presents Dixon

Yeah.

Carnival Picks:

27th August:

Swamp81 Carnival Special

My pick for the carnival weekend, the infamous Swamp81 carnival party comes to The Steelyard. With the full label crew on board delivering heavyweight dub, bass and grime it’s the perfect place to continue your Sunday at carnival.

27th August:

Bank Holiday Sunday: Metalheadz

You just know a Carnival afterparty hosted by these guys will make for a top night!

27th August:

Mister Sunday with Eamon Harkin and Justin Carter

New York’s inimitable duo bring their famous party back to London, this time to York Hall in Bethnall Green. A great alternative to the more traditional carnival after parties. Eamon Harkin & Justin Carter will hope to harness the carnival atmosphere, playing records from across the musical spectrum, solo and back-to-back.
