Chorus Welcome Asquith & Aletha To Wire This Wednesday
Our good friends over at Chorus return to Leeds once again, cementing themselves as a mainstay of the Leeds clubbing scene. Their last night down at Wharf Chambers was one our favourites this year, an unforgettable night where Blasha & Allat blew the crowd away. Despite only having run a few nights, there is a burgeoning sense of community to the nights Chorus are putting on.
For the 3rd edition of Chorus, they head down to Wire for a party with the legendary Asquith and local veteran Aletha! Asquith is the head honcho of the long-running & celebrated label, Lobster Theremin. Over the past few years he’s been making an impact with his high energy DJ sets and impressive productions. You can expect a plethora of sounds from him, ranging from groovy techno to left-field breaks & hypnotic trance. They'll be bringing him down to Wire for a peak time smackdown that’s not to be missed!
Aletha is a rising star from the Leeds scene who’s quickly becoming a household name on any line-up. 2021 has seen her secure a residency at Manchester’s Warehouse Project, as well as frequently supporting huge artists like of Four Tet, DjRUM & Bradley Zero. Her sets include anything from the tightest house grooves to ravey electro - the perfect guest to warm up the club she’s more than familiar with.
Recently she’s provided mixes for Lobster Theremin & performed at the inaugural LobsterFest, so having her and Asquith together feels like a perfect match. Closing the night down is 1/2 of Chorus and Sheaf St resident Kaidun. He’ll be taking over from Asquith for the final hour, using this slot to his full advantage, digging deep for the most impactful, driving tunes from his record bag to send the crowd home happy. We cannot wait for their Wire debut with such a great crew, it’s set to be one to remember. As usual, tickets start at £5 - it’d be rude not to. Yeah, we know it’s a Wednesday, but you deserve a midweek party every now and then!
