BabyStep Bandcamp Picks: Adelphi Music Factory

Adelphi Music Factory recently dropped a new rave anthem ‘My People (Love Can Live Forever)’; an ode to humanity in the grip of crisis, a joyous tribute to enduring love for empty dance floors across the world and a promise we’ll all be together again soon.

Over the summer the trio topped industry charts and gained more than 15 million streams with their Gospel House Trilogy (Javelin’ /Feel Right Now’/ ‘Salvation’). DJ support poured in from across the globe including The Blessed Madonna, Gerd Janson, Dusky, Disclosure and Annie Mac - who made each release her Hottest Record in The World.

Short film ‘2020: THE FIGHT FOR LOVE’ came next - an uplifting story of the worldwide Covid-19 crisis - premiered alongside their piano house bomb ‘Uprising’.

Over the summer their ‘Joy & Fantasy’ EP united AMF with the Shall Not Fade family alongside Harrison BDP, Laurence Guy, Loods, Big Miz, Ejeca and more. Choice remixes for Domino Records legends Hot Chip and newcomer Georgia further cemented their sound.

Sold out debut gigs in the Steel City and Printworks gave a glimpse of the AMF live show - and what is still to come. We caught up with the guys to hear their Top Bandcamp Picks.

Anz - Loos in Twos

AMF loves Anz. The Mancunian selector is prolific and it has been great to see the acclaim for ‘Loos In Twos’: a tummy-rumbling trip down memory lane with the breaks, old school rave chords and sub bass to make us feel like we’re smoking in clubs at 16.

DJ Steve - Mainline EP

Steel City stand up: DJ Steve’s on point with this bleepy blast of Sheffield heritage electronica - complete with a piano riff so uplifting it needs its own air space.

Dj Streaks - Burn The Guez

Whoever Dj Streaks is, he’s not shy about laying down achingly beautiful sunshine house stompers. ‘Burn The Guez’ brings some much-needed warmth through this bleakest of winters.

Walter Ego - Bodies In Motion

More raw talent from God’s own city: Walter Ego’s jazz tinged, hip-hop influenced down tempo mover ‘Bodies in Motion’ sounds like DJ Cam would have done if he’d lived on Park Hill Flats.

Matrefakt - State

Scouse legends in the making Matrefakt drop an unadulterated monster on possibly the world’s hottest label: Shall Not Fade. Half bar piano loops, hacked up vocal samples and a whopping, goose-bump inducing breakdown: GET IN OUR MOUTHS.
