New Music Friday #9
Here we are again with another New Music Friday, this weeks addition brings you a plethora of songs from around the world. A special mention goes out to Disclosure who've smashed it on their third studio album, we hope you enjoy these ones and have a fantastic weekend.
Disclosure- Thinking 'Bout You(Interlude)
A perfect interlude for a standout album, released by the electronic duo. Despite feeling a million miles away from the dancefloor, this album has come at the perfect time. Disclosure should be commended for this energy-infused album that is a soulful reminder of our necessity to dance.
Dua Lipa-Break My Heart/Cosmic Girl(Dmitri From Paris Edit)
The iconic pop singer has teamed up with an array of widely respected DJ's, re-working the songs from Lipa’s excellent 2020 LP “Future Nostalgia.” Also: Madonna herself appears in a fresh take on “Levitating,” one of several high-profile guest stars. This gob-smacking remix of 'Break My Heart' takes us right back, sampling in Jamiroquai.
Travis Scott- The Plan
What does the official Tenet song by Travis Scott reveal about the movie's enigmatic plot? In a world where movie marketing can feel increasingly formulaic, Tenet's build has been nothing if not unique. Adding to this mystique are the slightly offbeat, unexpected tie-ins, here is the official soundtrack song from rapper Travis Scott.
Blood Red Shoes- Back From The Dead
Just four years ago, it wasn’t clear whether there would ever be another Blood Red Shoes album.
The band’s members, Laura-Mary Carter and Steven Ansell, hated each other. A near-decade of incessant road time and a non-stop pace of life finally took its toll with the Brighton-duo only “about 10 days a year” apart for six or seven years. This offering marks their revitalised return to the big time.
Avalon Emerson- Wastelands & Oases
Avalon has put together a visual to go with exclusive track ‘Wastelands and Oases’ which she’s produced for the mix – comprised of recent tour footage – and you can watch it below.
