Listen: Kornél Kovács' Vibrant Remix Of Twenty Committee's 'This Town'

Studio Barnhus label head Kornél Kovács has come through with the goods once again with an expertly crafted rework of Twenty Committee's 'This Town'. Since his 2019 album 'Stockholm Marathon', the Swedish producer has gone onto provide remix work for Moby, Studio Barnhaus regular Bella Boo, and HONNE.

Led by producer Anders Källmark, Scandinavian collective Twenty Committee have been garnering attention over the last few weeks. Their recently released single "Something New' ft. Chloe Rodgers was the first in a series of singles leading up to the debut EP 'Minutes Volume 1' out November 20th

Kornel's take on "This Town' strikes the perfect balance between the emotional weight of the original, and his own electronic prowess. Clean-cut vocal chops and smooth synthwork make for a sharp, addicitive sound. Discussing the remix, Kornel said that '"I had a blast making this remix for Twenty Committee, for which I channeled end-of-summer melancholia, old Matthew Herbert records, and the dadaist sound poetry of Elsa von Freytag-Loringhoven. Big up Chloe Rodgers' voice for sounding so good pitched down and shout out to the Luke Vibert breakbeat sample pack for always being there for me in times of need."
