Outdoor Concerts Now Allowed Under New Coronavirus Regulations

From Saturday 11th July, festivals, open-air gigs and theatre performances will be allowed to take place following the release of new regulations from the government. In order to test how these would work, a series of pilot events are to take place. These pilots will be socially distanced and will follow all new guidelines and will be used to try out the logistics of holding such events as the UK lockdown is gradually lifted. These test events with in performances at Butlin's, London palladium, and St Luke's Church, where the London Symphony Orchestra will be performing.

"This is an important milestone for our performing artists, who have been waiting patiently in the wings since March," Culture Secretary Oliver Dowden said in a coversation with the BBC.
