Fizzy Blood release new track 'Pink Magic'.

Following on from the release of their previous single ‘CFO’ earlier this year, Leeds-based band Fizzy Blood are back with a new and explosive track 'Pink Magic’. Packing in punchy guitar riffs, anthemic vocals and trancy synths, ‘Pink Magic’ offers a new depth to Fizzy Blood’s sound.

Discussing the new track, guitarist Paul Howells said that “Pink Magic is probably the easiest song we’ve ever written. It kind of just fell into our laps when together we were messing around with a Korg, we got a bit of a trance-like groove going and just decided to see how far we could take that before it became boring. We never found the answer, instead we got Pink Magic”.

Following the release of their Summer of Luv EP in September last year, Fizzy Blood's presence on the DIY-rock scene has grown significantly, catching the attention of Radio 1’s Annie Mac and many others. Both ‘CFO’ and ‘Pink Magic’ will feature on Fizzy Blood’s forthcoming EP which is to be announced later this year. Talking about the EP, Paul Howell's says:

“The 'Pink Magic' EP is our third and final EP. It's taken us a few years to figure out who we are as a band, as musicians and as people, and this is the happiest we've ever been with our music. In the UK music scene it’s easy to get boxed in, we've managed to tour with the likes of While She Sleeps and then go straight on to hit the road with Spring King, very different crowds and very different music, however, all this has taught us is that we're not a metal band and we're not an indie band, we want to be the band that excites all listeners of music and more, so stop giving out titles and just enjoy it. After touring and being around each other non-stop for the past 4 years, we’re now very comfortable in our own skin. Our third EP is what we believe to be the most accurate representation of who we are as a band and where we want to take our music moving forward. We're happy to present the EPs as a trilogy but I wouldn't kid anyone and say this was the plan from the start. These three offerings will have to tide you over till we're finished with what comes next…”

Fizzy Blood are set to play several headline sets and have a massive summer ahead of them, playing at festivals such as Dot 2 Dot, Y Not and Boardmasters. Catch Fizzy Blood on 5th May at their homecoming gig at Live at Leeds Festival. Pink Magic’ is now available on Spotify and Apple Music and is supported by PRSF Momentum Fund.
